Stewart Moore
Stewart Moore is the Chief Executive Officer of EC3 Global.
Stewart has a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning (Honours) from Queensland University,
a Masters Degree in Regional Science specialising in Tourism Planning and Sustainability
and a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute
of Australia.
Stewart has over 22 years experience in the tourism industry and has well recognised
capabilities in the areas of policy development, tourism marketing, strategic planning
and sustainability management. Stewart was a member of the Tourism Forecasting Council
for 10 years and recently project managed the consultations and research process
for the Queensland Tourism Strategy.
Mark Olsen
Mark Olsen is the General Manager of Consulting Services at EC3 Global. Mark has
over 10 years experience in tourism and destination management including eight years
at Tourism Queensland in a variety of roles including Regional Director.
Mark has a degree in Tourism from James Cook University, with Honours focussing
on Environmental Tourism and Community Engagement. Through his career Mark has worked
extensively with the tourism industry at various levels and has well recognised
skills and experience in the areas of tourism marketing, strategic planning and
project management.
Cara Holcombe
Cara Holcombe is a Senior Project Manager and consultant for EC3 Global and has
worked on and project managed several tourism projects with the Sustainable Tourism
CRC and EC3 Global over the past 6 years.
Cara holds an honours degree in Environmental Management majoring in Sustainable
Development and a Masters in International and Community Development. Cara has been
responsible for managing the outcomes of several successful initiatives including
the National Outback Tourism Strategy (including 23 workshops in six Australian
states and territories), an international Risk Management Guide and workshop program
for Destinations and Businesses, a Coffs Coast Tourism Strategy, the Gold Coast
Regional Tourism Investment and Infrastructure Plan (RTIIP) and the Australia’s
Coastal Wilderness Tourism Master Plan.
Alex Huddleston
Alex Huddleston is a Project Manager for EC3 Global. Alex holds a Bachelor of Business
Management (Tourism and Travel Management) from University of Queensland.
Alex has been responsible for the outcomes of several projects with EC3 Global over
the past four years including the Queensland Tourism Strategy regional consultation
program, the Overlanders Way Corridor Implementation Plan, the Drive Tourism Program
Stage Two and the preparation of national grant fund submissions. Currently, Alex
is project managing the Drive Tourism Program Extension project, and the implementation
of the ‘Dig the Tropic’ project.
Kate Vallely
Kate Vallely is a Project Manager for EC3 Global and holds a Bachelor of Applied
Science in Environmental Tourism and a Bachelor of Business Management in Travel
and Tourism from the University of Queensland.
Over the last two years Kate has been involved in the development of the Tourism
Opportunities Plan for the Sunshine Coast and South East Queensland Country regions
and Kidman Way Corridor Management Plan. Currently, Kate is managing a review of
existing destination management research developed by the Sustainable Tourism Cooperative
Research Centre.
Sophie Klatt
Sophie Klatt is a Project Officer for EC3 Global and holds a Bachelor of Business
Management majoring in Tourism and Travel Management from the University of Queensland.
Sophie has worked with EC3 Global for just over two years and has recently completed
an audit and industry research on the Queensland B&B and Farmstay industry and the
Gladstone Region Public Transport and Signage Study. Sophie is currently working
with Tourism Queensland on their Response to Climate Change and on the Development
of Environmental Indicators for the Queensland tourism industry.
