V8 Supercars Series Feasibility Study
Hyder Consulting, 2006
The purpose of the V8 Supercars Series Feasibility study was to
conduct an Economic Impact Analysis of the proposed multi-function
events precinct in Townsville, North Queensland. EC3 Global
reviewed and tested the previous reports, prepared on the economic
impact assessment of the proposed events, (including accommodation,
drive market and visitor number projections) and conducted an
assessment and provision of advice relating to the extent of
economic impact generated. In providing advice on the economic
impact of a V8 event in Townsville, EC3 Global assessed visitor
numbers, organiser and visitor spend, household impact, value-added
impact and employment impact.
